VISITING:
HO CHI MINH CITY - CU CUCHI TUNNELS - MEKONG DELTA - MUI NE - NHA TRANG - NATRANG OFFSHORE ISLANDS - HOI AN - DANANG.

ACCOMMODATION:
Three star hotel, (2 nights).
One to two star hotels, (8 nights).
Simple guest house, (2 nights).
Overnight sleeper train, ( 2 nights).

TRANSPORT:
Bus, train, boat, taxi.

DAY TRIPS:
Cu Cu Chi tunnels, (half day).
Mekong Delta, (full day).
HCMC Cyclo, (half day).
Nha trang islands tour, (full day).

MEALS: 17 meals as per itinerary. B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner.

NOTE: Breakfast in Vietnam, while filling and tasty, are usually very limited on choice to bread, eggs, jam etc with the occasional banana pancake or you can join the locals with noodle soup. Some of the other meals on day trips are provided by third parties and can be very limited on choice also.

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY - Your tour officially starts when you check into your Ho Chi Minh City accommodation. A welcoming dinner will be had in the evening. D.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY - A free day in Ho Chi Minh City to get the feel of this truly Asian city. B.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY - A local operator will take you on a half day tour of the amazing Cu Cu Chi tunnels. On returning to HCMC around 1.00 p.m. those wishing to visit the war remnants museum will be dropped off at the entrance.(Entrance fee not included). B.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH CITY - A full days visit with a local operator by bus and boats to the Mekong Delta to get a close up view of the lifestyles of the locals. B. L. D.

DAY 5: MUI NE - A short bus trip this morning will see you on the beach in Mui Ne. B.

DAY 6: MUI NE- A free day at this extremely scenic beach resort is the perfect place to relax and read a book. For the more active there is also the option of windsurfing, kite surfing and sometimes even regular surfing. (book, and other equipment not included). B.

DAY 7: NHA TRANG - A bus ride today will see you in the far more touristy seaside city of Nha trang. B.

DAY 8: NHA TRANG - The great beach and nightlife of Nha trang will keep you in a relaxed mood again today. B.

DAY 9: OVERNIGHT SLEEPER TRAIN - A local operator will take you by boat on a full days tour to some of the nearby off shore islands. Late in the evening you will board your soft class sleeper train for the relatively short overnight trip to Danang. B. L.

DAY 10: HOI AN - Arrive early morning in Danang and transfer to nearby Hoi An. No meals.

DAY 11: HOI AN; If ever a Vietnamese town should be called charming or quaint then surely it must be Hoi An. This extremely likeable and laid back town is the perfect place to stroll around and check out the local shops.

This is also the place to look out for that tailor made suit you were thinking about or just relax with a coffee by the riverside. Hoi An is a favorite with all travellers. B.

DAY 12: DANANG - Today we transfer back to Danang. Danang is a lovely riverside city which surprisingly sees few tourists other than those who visit the world renown museum of Cham Sculpture. Danang is a great place to soak up the culture and have a beer "hoi" with the locals. B.

DAY 13: OVERNIGHT SLEEPER TRAIN - A free day to explore Danang before catching an overnight train back to Ho Chi Minh City. B.

DAY 14: HO CHI MINH CITY - Arrive a.m. in Ho Chi Minh City with the rest of the day free before a final night in Vietnam . A farewell dinner will be had in the evening. D.

DAY 15: Your trip is officially over when you check out of your Ho Chi Minh City accommodation. An airport transfer is included also. B.

NOTE: Anybody wanting to continue on and do the North Vietnam itinerary would catch an overnight train to Hanoi on day 13 instead of returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
