Some of the Best Thailand Places Baktrax Don’t Have On Regular Tours

There is really nowhere bad to visit in Thailand. So many choices and not enough time. Baktrax has most of the super best places covered already but there are still lots more especially if you want to get even further off the tourist trails.

There are 77 provinces in Thailand just to begin with. Everyone is unique. Just to name a few we will begin with Hat Yai in the deep south. Not actually a province but the biggest city in Songkla province. While this large city does see lots of tourists from time to time you never feel like you are surrounded by them. With the best choice of food in Southern Thailand and the most shopping opportunities, it is always a delight to stroll around. The perfect stopover when Malaysia bound. Then heading northwards there is Chumpon. This city is mainly a transit point for those going to the islands of Pha Ngan, Tao and Samui with few spending any time there. But once again the choice of food from the afternoon street food vendors is well worth more time to explore in-depth.  Like Hat Yai it has a choice of accommodation from backpacker to 5-star.  Then to Ban Saphan a little known beach resort in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. This is the quiet get away from it all for a while beach destination. Mostly backpacker accommodation but also one really good 3-star hotel.  Just north of Bangkok is the more famous old capital of Ayuthaya which see tourists arriving for the historical old city but the new town is also a lively spot to explore with great markets once again. When it comes to food markets in Thailand almost every town has one. And like red wine, they are all good just some are better than others. Heading North East. There is Surin which apart from its yearly elephant festival when the town is booked solid the rest of the year is chilled out and you may still see an elephant as you enjoy a 5.00 p.m. Leo. Then in no particular order, there is Si Saket, Yasathon or beside the Mekong in Nakhon Phanon. In the north there is Lamphun, Lamphang or even Uttaradit. While Chiang Rai is a smaller version of Chiang Mai with another great tourist night bazaar. Or the small districts of Chiang Saen beside the Mekong or the Burmese border town of Mae Sai with its almost one kilometre of market stalls lining the highway back from the border. So if you want to go anywhere in Thailand apart from 5  provinces we can put together your own private itinerary. Nobody knows Thailand better than Baktrax.
