With only 14 days to see some of the best that both countries have to offer and with numerous flight options today we can maximize our time by starting in Siem Reap and finishing in Hanoi.

An included international flight between the two countries maximizes our time even further.

Start with the best of the best in Cambodia with Angkor Wat and finish with one of the big ticks in Vietnam on a deluxe boat on Halong Bay. In between visit one of the most laid-back cities in the region in Battambang before the hectic but always fascinating Phnom Penh.

Then fly to Danang and transfer to another Vietnam highlight of Hoi An. Experience travel with the locals on an overnight train to Hanoi where the old quarter traffic will make Phnom Penh look tame in comparison.

With the flight and no really long travel days plus the three-star accommodation, we will experience Cambodia & Vietnam in comfort also.

Have more time to include Laos also? https://www.baktrax.com/c/cheap-tours-to-indochina

Expect to see as much as possible in 14 days but still in the usual baktrax philosophy of travelling as easy as possible between highlights.

As always expect friendly locals, great food and real travel experiences. Be both amazed and delighted.

Unlike much of Cambodia Siem Reap also has an amazing choice of international restaurants from French to Mexican and lots in between.

The touristy Pub street delivers on its name and some local food markets are an even better experience for a meal with the locals at far cheaper prices. The eating and drinking choices are truly amazing.

More local markets for that Angkor souvenir also.

Day 4
Day 4

Tonight our Best Cambodia & Vietnam small group tour will stay in; BATTAMBANG – A relatively short bus trip today will see us in Cambodia’s second city of Battambang. B.

And what a wonderfully relaxed destination in between mildly hectic Siem Reap and the even more so Phnom Penh to follow.

A rose between two thorns for charm and relaxation. This is the chill out capital of Cambodia and possibly all the region.

Less traffic chaos just, to begin with, makes it the perfect place to explore the old French-era architectural buildings.

Some of the best coffee anywhere and more great food with the Eden cafe just one worth a mention for dinner and a glass of wine.

Or the more atmospheric riverside market for dinner or a real local lunch experience in the local market beside our accommodation are other possibilities.
